Watch Hill Inn, located in the village of Watch Hill, Rhode Island, is closer than you think – approximately three hours from New York City (2 ½ hours by train); two hours from Greenwich, CT; 1 ½ hours from Boston; and 45 minutes from historic Newport and Providence. With easy access from Route I-95, the Inn is easily reached from all major metropolitan areas in New England.
Take Route 93 South. Merge onto Route I-95 South towards Providence, Rhode Island. Once in Rhode Island, take Exit 1 (Route 3, Hopkinton, Westerly) off Route I-95. Turn right off of the exit ramp, and follow the road for several miles until you see signs for Route 78 East. Take a left turn onto Route 78 and follow the road until it ends at the Intersection. Go straight through intersection onto Airport Road and continue straight through the first stop sign. At the end of Airport Road and the second stop sign, take a left onto Watch Hill Road toward Ocean House. Follow Watch Hill Road until you see Watch Hill Inn on your left. The parking area is located directly after the building. Please note: Check In for Watch Hill Inn is at Ocean House, located at 1 Bluff Avenue, Watch Hill, RI.
From New York City
Take Route I-95 North to Exit 92 in Connecticut (North Stonington/Pawcatuck exit). At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Liberty Street and after driving close to 1.5 miles, take a right onto Route 78 East towards Rhode Island beaches. Follow Route 78 until it ends at an intersection. Go straight through intersection onto Airport Road and continue straight through the first stop sign. At end of Airport Road, at the second stop sign, take a left onto Watch Hill Road. Follow Watch Hill Road until you see Watch Hill Inn on your left.
