Ocean House was abuzz this weekend, with droves of eager guests spilling onto the beach for what was to be the perfect Independence Day celebration. With overcast skies threatening rain early in the day, the excitement of all in attendance was apparent when a warm Rhode Island sun shone through and graced us with beautiful Beach Ball weather. Everyone came dressed their best Fourth of Julyinspired ensembles with colorful blazers and beautiful dresses as far as the eye could see. Guests dined on fresh ruby red lobsters and succulent barbecue dishes atop the red, white and blue table displays.

As the lights began to dim, sparkling strings of light illuminated the beach from above, casting a warm glow upon the tables as the sun fell below the horizon. The beach hummed with the sound of brass and string instruments with musician, Al Copley, singing the blues overtop his wringing piano keys. Everyone eagerly awaited the night’s finale, with Rhode Island residents lining the roads of Watch Hill, waiting to catch a glimpse of the yearly spectacle that Ocean House guests were front and center to see. Fireworks exploded over the Atlantic in a display of color. It was the perfect way to end a perfect evening. Thank you to all who attended!
