  EAST BEACH
The Atlantic Ocean offers East Beach offers spectacular views of Block Island in the distances and good surfacing conditions when the "sea is up". Locals are very familiar with the conditions and make for an entertaining day with much to do. The sand is white, the water is refreshing, and the sun is great for bronzing. The Atlantic is ideal for the avid fisherman and challenged yachtsman.

  NAPATREE BEACH
Situated where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Long Island Sound this 1 1/2 mile sandy beach separates the Little Narraganset Bay from the sea where sand pipers, ospreys, and other protected species live within the dunes. The surf is calm and ideal for children.
Just behind the dunes one can find hundreds of boats whose owners bring the families to spend an all day or weekend in this pristine environment. From Napatree Points you can see New York, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

  CAROUSEL BEACH
This beach is located between East Beach and Napatree Beach and is ideal for families with smaller children as it offers life guard surveillance, change and storage lockers, showers, and toilets. Situated in front of the Watch Hill Historic Carousel, food, rides, and ice cream are readily available. The Town charges a small fee for use of the lockers.

Carousel Beach is located at the end of Bay Street just passed the local shops and only 5 minutes walk from the Watch Hill Inn Residences.

OTHER NEAR BY BEACHES

Misquamicut Beach, Misquamicut RI and Weekapaug Beach, Weekapaug, RI, are two beautiful beaches just northeast of East Beach.  Atlantic Beach Park at Misquamicut includes a Ferris wheel, kiddy amusement park, carousel, miniature golf and more. Altogether, this ten mile stretch of beach highlights much of the reason why Rhode Island is called the Ocean State.

Whether you're looking for a solitary walk with the sounds of waves gently crashing and birds diving overhead, or looking to sit down to enjoy a long, lazy day watching the children play, or looking for an adventurous day water skiing and knee boarding, Watch Hill  is the place for you.
